This game was pretty nice, I liked walking around the areas and finding a lot of items to put into the Trinket slots!

I streamed the game here!

I played this a couple years ago, and it stuck in my head. I still think of it regularly and fondly, what a wonderful and haunting experience in nearly every sense of those two words.

I am so happy that I finally got around to playing this game. The game is so emotionally powerful that it made me cry. I can see a lot of people in the comments don't quite understand what this game is trying to do and what it's about, but I think I got it

To put it simply, you may or may not understand what this game is doing and what it's about. But if you do understand it then it's a masterpiece.

The game isn't traditional horror like FNAF or any of the mainstream horror games. To me, it feels like it's trying to evoke a certain feeling of dread and fear and maybe even trauma in certain people.
The game worked to do that incredibly well to me, but if you're not one of those certain people then the game may feel long and boring and nonsensical.

Thank you Gwen for making this experience. It was horrifying.

I think the game looked very good, but it was quite boring for someone like me. Thanks for making the game!

I've been following itch.io horror projects for a while and there's a certain brand of horror, combining the industrial complex depression and liminal spaces, that always stuck out to me.

Roadkill Agora is a quiet horror game. There isn't any real monster awaiting for you somewhere, instead, you are presented with a perverse, dreary virtual space presented as an old, decaying town, with all its residents unsure about what's next. You are just one of those confused people, there's nothing exactly special about you. It's a type of horror that is more social than primal.

The game doesn't hold your hand, and it's easy to get lost, if you're not paying attention or aren't patient enough to find the solutions. It is both anxious and meditative, with no blurry lines in-between. If you let that feeling of mundanity wash over you, then you've basically understood the game.

As for playtime, I guess 2 optimal playthroughs (both normal and secret ending) would take you around 1.5-2 hours, but I spent more than that just trying to break it, because there was always the feeling that something is off, that there's a deeper secret behind the curtain. For a first game, it's bloody impressive. Please keep making stuff like this, if you feel motivated to do so, because there's never enough projects that fall into that little niche you've explored here :3

hey, sorry to bother you but I’m struggling to find the secret ending…the only thing that I can’t seem to figure out is how to open the door to the mortis club once the world is pitch dark.. I got ending 0 and 1 so far…love this game, any hints or help would be greatly appreciated..

I had fun Looking At The Graffiti! A Fun Creepy Game

Very interesting game. You did an incredible job at making the city feel claustrophobic and creepy. Keep up the great work!

Visually the game looks great. I just kinda wish there was some sort of direction that the player to follow for the story. I don't think I found any sort of story beyond the items. Besides that though, the game looks nice.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

I spent an hour wandering the streets tonight.

There were people there, but it was empty. Faded words on walls spraypainted a picture of an apocalypse that had already come to pass. My pockets began to fill with the things that had been left behind.

Alcohol seemed to make the process go more smoothly. Isn't that always the way.

A friend I'd never met told me that I could talk to them, if I needed someone; perhaps they even meant it, or thought they did at the time.

The only sound was a distant drone. The only thing on TV was static. The only things in the bathtub were cigarettes.

I'm not sure if the blue screens were a way out, or a hole leading deeper, but either way, I did eventually find something in the darkness. It wasn't a light, exactly, but it was hot.

grimy, shitty, unsettling to walk through. reminded me pretty significantly of oleander garden's work. the NPCs added a lot to the vibe, and the animated avatars were especially grotesque and interesting (cigarette girl was my fav). i enjoyed the atmosphere of the city but wish the sounds and ambiance were just a little louder so they could really wash over you. was digging the story, but unfortunately ran into a bug (?) where dropping an item would permanently remove those stats from me, which i didn't realize until it was too late and i could no longer progress through the computer screens. oh well! still worth the time i spent with it.

Hello, congratulations on your first game, Roadkill Agora, I really love it, though I am having a few problems and few questions I want to ask. I have a problem with the screen, suddenly my gameplay view is small, like on my screen you can cover it with your hand, that small. QUICK EDIT I found the missing item, but there is a problem with the item menu, if it is full and I pick up a new item, it is picked up but not shown in my inventory, so it should say that my inventory is full, just like when I want to pick up an item that I already have I cannot pick it up and it notifies me so. I guess so far the screen problem remains. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, deleted and installed a new one and the gameplay screen is still small. Help! I look forward for your replies. Cheers

it was very interesting to check out ... i recorded a bit but not knowing what to do kinda got the best of me :D

The game has some decent looks, mostly nostalgic, but, it shows the potential. Unlike most games, it uses the atmosphere to create the most realistic setting, but at the same time, after a while, it does get a bit raw and drags.

The sound design is very unique, I would recommend adding the ambience to it, nothing too much, it can be a simple tune or melody.

The story is eerie and a bit confusing, but as you go along the way, it resurfaces and that's pretty neat. Worth anyone's time, yet, once again, a bit draggy, because of a lot of walking.

Good luck with the future projects.
